Firmin-Girard

Peintre et témoin fidèle de la société française de la Belle-époque à la Grande Guerre, après avoir été l'élève de Gleyre et de Gérôme et avoir obtenu le second Grand Prix de Rome, il connaît très tôt le succès au Salon des Artistes Français exposant une oeuvre variée, depuis la peinture d'histoire, aux scènes de genre, aux paysages et aux sujets naturalistes. Painter and faithful witness of the french society from Belle-époque to Great War, after having been pupil of Gleyre and Gérôme and second Grand Prix de Rome, he knows very early the success in the Salon of the French Artists, offering a varied work from historical painting to genre scenes, landscapes and naturalistic subjects.
